CouturedeMur : "FAMILY"

Tilly Zegers works mainly with pure wool interior fabrics in various colors and designs. For her, the challenge and art is to process these into a real eye-catcher. This is also an expression of her love and passion for her craft - designing costumes.

With "Couturedemur," Tilly creates tailored suits not for the human body, but as eye-catching wall decorations in interiors or public spaces. They are not paintings, but "CouturedeMur" - large, several centimeters thick frames that are dressed up with an austere or, on the contrary, colorful look and are always tightly finished. This form of wall decoration is not only decorative and unique, but also a special solution to acoustic problems. In the interior, they especially bring warmth and connection, as a counterpart to hard materials such as floors, walls, windows and all other hard surfaces.

The "CouturedeMur" can be figurative, abstract or geometric. It is a process of sketching, determining scale and colors, accurately measuring and cutting, marking off and stitching together so that the "costume" fits exactly over the frame and then fits excellently on the wall.
